Ahead of Super Eagles’ clash against the Benin Republic in the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game, Captain William Troost-Ekong has predicted tough experience for his team.
INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that Austin Eguavoen’s side will be facing the Cheetahs at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday.
Recall that the Super Eagles lost 2-1 to Gernot Rohr’s side the last time both countries met at the ground.
Speaking with NFF TV on Tuesday, Troost-Ekong said that he is looking forward to another difficult contest against the Cheetahs.
He said: “The stadium is a familiar one for us and we have good memories from the AFCON.
“We will rather focus on the positive results we have taken away from here and work hard for another good day in the office on Thursday.
“It is not going to be easy because the Beninoise are also chasing a ticket to the final tournament.
“However, our objective is clear, three points on the night.”
21 players are now at the Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
