Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has broken box office records with his cinema debut, Reel Love, which premiered on February 14.
The movie star took to his Instagram page on Monday to celebrate his success, announcing that his project had grossed over ninety-nine million naira at the box office.
His film set several new records, including the highest opening weekend for a debut filmmaker, the fourth-highest opening weekend of all time, and the strongest Valentine’s Day opening in Nollywood, among others.

Timini expressed his gratitude online, thanking his fans for their unwavering support, which played a key role in helping him break those records.
He thanked those who believed in and supported his dream, as well as everyone who made time to watch his film.
He wrote: “Little drops of water make a mighty ocean, and every single one of YOU has been a part of this incredible wave! ‘Reel Love’ has shattered records at the box office, and it’s all thanks to your unwavering support, every ticket bought, every share, every cheer.
“This is OUR victory, and I’m endlessly grateful for each of you who believed in this dream. But the journey isn’t over yet! Let’s make HISTORY this week—push harder, spread the love, and show the world what we’re made of.”
