Stan Alieke, the former lawyer of Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington, has advised singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, aka Portable, on how to handle the police arrest warrant issued against him.
Recall that Portable was on Monday declared wanted by the Ogun State government following his altercation with state officials.
On Tuesday, Stan Alieke shared his perspective on the matter via his Instagram stories, offering guidance on what Portable should do next.

The lawyer advised Portable to respond to the police’s invitation, stating that the worst-case scenario would be his detention, with his lawyer able to secure his release.
Alieke explained that if a person refuses to respond to a police invitation, it provides grounds for the authorities to enforce an arrest, possibly using force. He concluded his post by stating that one cannot fight, hide, or run from the government.
He wrote, “On Portable: I’d always advise that whenever the police or any law enforcement agency invites you to honour the invite & go, it’s more honourable that way, the worst that could happen is that they detain you & your lawyer bail you out.
“If the police invite you & you don’t go, you have given them a reason to come & arrest you & even exert any amount of reasonable force in arresting you if you try to resist the arrest or publicly declare you wanted. They can also freeze your bank accounts until you show up. You can never fight, run away or hide from the govn’t.”
