The people of Ipetumodu in Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State, have congratulated the president of the Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE), Mr. Femi Adesina, on his recent re-election for a second term in office.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy of Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kunle Oyatomi, the people, on the platform of Ipetumodu Progressive Union (IPU), expressed delight at the exemplary quality representation that Mr. Adesina, who is also the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Publishing Limited, had given the Ipetumodu town in his spectacular performance at the guild.

He said: “It was against the backdrop of the sterling performance that Adesina recently got a second term endorsement to continue his good work as the president of the Guild of Editors for another two years,” the statement said.

“As one of the most remarkable achievements so far by anyone in that position, Mr. Adesina has set in motion, the construction of the guild’s state-of-the-art secretariat in Abuja.”

Also, the president of the union, Dr. Sunday Oyebowale, on behalf of the people of the town, said Adesina, who hails from the town, had proved himself to be not only a worthy ambassador of Ipetumodu, but has also, in several ways, made the town and its people proud.

“For this credible achievement, the town is particularly grateful and would like to encourage him more to put in his best effort in the next two years to write Ipetumodu and indeed Osun’s names in the Hall of Fame of uncommon achievers in the professional class in Nigeria,” the IPU president said.
