Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has called on Nigerians to stay united in fighting for the country’s burgeoning democracy.
Atiku made the remark on Friday in a statement commemorating this year’s edition of June 12, a date set aside to celebrate the country’s democracy.

Speaking via the statement, the People’s Democratic Party chieftain stated that the annulment of the 1993 presidential election was not a personal loss to Abiola, but a loss to Nigeria and its democracy.
Atiku called on Nigerians to resist the “divide and rule tactics of the enemies of democracy.”
