Ousmane Dembele put the Catalans in front courtesy of an assist from Leo in the 29th minute.
Messi sealed the victory in the 85th minute with a squeezed finish past Bono at the second attempt.

Barcelona sat third before kick-off, on 50 points, two points ahead of Sevilla in fourth.
With the victory the Blaugrana leapfrogged Real Madrid and move within two points of leaders Atletico Madrid.
