Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola says the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood promotes money ritual and kidnapping in the society.
The minister said this while speaking at the fourth annual public lecture/symposium organised by the United Action for Change, themed, ‘Security of citizens as a social contract.’

The minister expressed that money ritual is a myth, however, the story line of most Nollywood movies are knitted along the line of thought, thereby promoting an already established belief system
He expressed that it was high time moviemakers and policymakers changed the narrative, to save innocent lives from being wasted.
