Atiku files N2.5 billion libel suit against Buhari’s aide

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Atiku Abubakar has filed an N2.5 billion libel suit against President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie. Atiku, a former vice president of Nigeria is demanding that Onochie retracts the “false information” disseminated about him.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday said that it owes no explanation to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the modalities for appointments into the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. This follows a comment by PDP National Spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, that there is infighting among leaders of the ruling party because of appointments and “booty sharing”.
