Ben Murray-Bruce made this statement while reveling at the news that, in Norway, electric cars outsold gas and diesel vehicles.

The senator pointed out that Norway despite being an oil producing nation was looking beyond the oil as a means of survival, this he deems as being a sensible decision.
The senator also discussed how the world was moving towards electric vehicles rather than gas and diesel vehicles being used in Nigeria.
He wrote:
This is the reality in the world today. Electric cars are outselling regular cars. Yet, Nigeria refuses to plan for this inevitability on the pretext that we are an oil producing nation. Norway is an oil producing country. But she is also a sensible nation
