The presidential spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, has accused the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) of crying foul whenever court decision goes against it and keep mum when the judgment is in the favor.
He cited the Osun state governorship election tribunal as a reference point where the PDP won at the tribunal and praised the judiciary but lost at the appellate court and condemn the judiciary.
He made this known in a series of tweets through his Twitter handle today, 11th May.
His words:
The PDP praised the verdict of the Osun gubernatorial election tribunal because it favored them, but they are now singing a different tune because they lost their appeal.
Intimidating and impugning the character of judges in order to force them to bow to blackmail is against the spirit of an independent judiciary.
Attacking judges because the outcomes of cases don’t favor you and keeping quiet when the verdict is in your favor smacks of insincerity, double standard, and mischief.
