The Senator representing Bayelsa east constituency in the upper legislative arm of government in Nigeria, Benedict Murray Bruce, has slammed the federal government for the trader moni scheme.
The highly vocal politician who is also the chairman of Silverbird group of company revealed that the poor require just education and capital- And not the paltry ten thousand Naira being disbursed by the federal government in the trader moni scheme.
What he said;
The poor need 2 things. Education and capital. 10k #TraderMoni is a handout, not capital. If the government can focus on giving the poor basic business education and then providing them with access to capital, they can start their own businesses and learn to fish for themselves.
