A woman who appeared to be pregnant – had herself operated upon by a doctor after she was diagnosed with uterine fibromyoma which was about 38 weeks old before the surgery.
The doctor conducted a Myomectomy, a surgical procedure to remove uterine fibroid from the female patient in Lagos.
These common noncancerous growths appear in the uterus, usually during childbearing years, but they can occur at any age.
The doctor who shared pictures of the surgery online – urged Nigerian women to regularly go for medical checkup to avoid a situation like this.
