Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) not to manipulate the results from the just concluded Osun state governorship election.
The election which held yesterday, 22nd September had the ruling party, All Progressives Congress(APC) and the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) locking horns in a fierce competition.
The governor, Rauf Aregbesola, lost his constituency to the PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke and from what the results are saying, victory is tilting towards the opposition.
The former VP, who is also a presidential aspirant of the party warned the electoral body not to add or subtract from the results as it would be a call to anarchy and threat to democracy.
He wrote via twitter thus:
The people of Osun have made their choice. What is required of @inecnigeria is to express that decision without any subtraction or addition. Anything short of that is a threat to democracy and a call to anarchy.
