Chelsea midfielder, Ross Barkley, has been in superb form since the start of the season. He had a torrid time last season with injuries and as such didn’t really feature for the blue last term. He seems to have put those concerns behind him now as his consistent performance against both Huddersfield and Chelsea drew comparison between him and Andre Pirlo. He also attested to this by saying
”Last season I had a difficult time with my injuries but that’s in the past now, I’m feeling really strong and I’m ready. Game by game I’ll be feeling even better and I’m feeling confident.’’
during a post match interview.
The Chelsea midfielder who kept things ticking at the heart of the Chelsea midfield also went close to scoring on a couple of occassions with his deft touches.

‘I’ve just got to do what I can,’ said Barkley, after being asked if the fact he was the sole Englishman involved on Saturday provided a good chance of catching the eye of Gareth Southgate.
‘I’m still learning and giving 100 per cent in training, trying to learn the new manager’s methods. Hopefully with my performances on the pitch I’ll be in the thoughts of the England manager.’
‘It’s a brilliant start, it was a difficult game against Arsenal but the main thing was to get the three points,’ he said.
‘We’ve started the season really well and got six points from two games. We’re feeling really confident, we’re still learning under the new manager but things are looking positive.’
We hope he stays out of injuries for the remainder of the season so that we can see more of him.
