Enyimba football club of Aba have made it to the quarter finals of this year CAF Confederation cup by defeating Cara Brazzaville of Congo. The peoples Elephant who have National goalkeeper,Ezenwa, in their rank won the group after they won the encounter by a lone goal to nil having been tied on points with FC Cara .
The peoples Elephant which is Nigeria’s only surviving club in this year’s edition of the competitions, have not had a permanent venue for their home fixtures for over four years. They . have been moving from one venue to another to play their home matches because the Aba Stadium was not good enough for top games.
The state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, however sped work up on the rehabilitation of the stadium and commissioned it in time for today’s CAF Confederation Cup match between Enyimba and Cara of Congo.
The stadium was well refurbished with work class turf. And this is sparking reactions from sport lovers.
See what they said:
Enyimba stadium looking good enough to host a world cup game right now. Officially Nigeria's best stadium today. Turf wise. #BetwayDaily. Infact the stands look magnificent too. Nigeria vs Libya? @thenff
