The chimpanzee family killed in Delta state
The Local Government Chairman of Sapele in Delta state, Mr Eugene Inoaghan has been called upon to help educate community members in the local government after a family of Chimpanzee were killed for meat by hunters in the state.
Sending the message on social media, Sapele Oghenek who shared gruesome photos of the chimpanezees after they were killed by hunters said the animal should be protected as a national heritage instead of being hunted down for meat. Oghenek revealed that the chimpanzees were killed on Saturday in Orhuakpa Community.
The hunters insisted they killed the chimpanzees for meat.
