Early morning Fire has gutted temporary structures popularly known as “Bar-chars” which traders use in Kuje main market as a result of on going construction work, the fire was said to have been noticed in the market which is located at central area of kuje area council at about 6: 15 am on Friday 24th February 2017.
LEADERSHIP gathered that Tankers of kuje fire service promptly show up to put out the fire with collaborative efforts from their gwagwalada counterpart of the fire service to salvage the goods in the market.
The course of the fire as at time of filling the report was not establish as such, the total loss as at time of quenching the fire Was not known.
The Council chairman Hon Abdullahi D. Galadima who was represented by vice Chairman Hon Samuel T. Duda was at the scene to witness the extent of the damage.
He also commend the effort of the fire service for their prompt response to bring the situation under control.
