The Presidential Villa which has for the past three weeks been silent like a graveyard, bubbled with life as both President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo resumed duty.
The duo since their inauguration on May 29, have used the Defence House, Abuja as their operational bases while renovation work was ongoing.
As early as 7am, most of the State House staff had arrived their duty posts. The offices were opened as early as few minutes past 8 a.m.
Some of them confirmed that they had left their homes as early 5am, in order to be on their duty post well before the official opening hours of 8am.
Osinbajo had arrived his office in the Presidential Villa around 9.07 a.m and proceeded to the President’s office at about 10.50am.
Buhari had arrived earlier from his official residence which is a trekable distance hidden from journalists’ view,
The car park which has been almost been empty was filled up around 10.00 a.m.
