Unpaid Salaries: Osun Workers Will Soon Have Cause To Smile – Sen. Adeleke

Monday 22 June 2015

isiaka-adeleke4The Senator representing Osun-West Senatorial District, Isiaka Adeleke, has assured civil servants in Osun State that they will soon have cause to smile because leaders of the All Progressives Congress are “strategising to ensure that civil servants are duly paid”.

While advising the workers to be patient, the senator said the state governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is worker-friendly and would fulfil his promise soon.

Isiaka, who is the first civilian governor of Osun State, said this in his Ramadan message on Sunday.

He said, “I call on all the citizens to allow peace to reign in Osun State. Never again shall the workers in Osun State experience such a situation that they presently find themselves, as the government of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is worker-friendly and populist-oriented. Osun civil servants will have cause to smile soon. This is part of the positive changes the APC promised Nigerians”.

The senator also assured that the post-National Assembly leadership election crisis in his party, APC, was being resolved, adding that the party would continue to grow stronger and make life better for Nigerians.

According to the former governor, his first 100 days in the Senate would be channeled towards creating interactive sessions with Osun State indigenes in order to identify their problems with a view to solving them.

He also charged Muslims to perform their duties in the holy month of Ramadan with dedication, the fear of God, selflessness and trust in the Almighty God.

“Muslims in Osun State should see the month of Ramadan as a moment of sober reflection and rededicate themselves to the service of Allah and improve on their relationship with themselves, particularly in showing mercy to the needy and the downtrodden in the society. We should be our brothers’ keepers.

“More than ever before, Nigerians should ensure that the prosperity and progress of their fatherland is very paramount in their minds. Our leaders should promote agro-allied businesses, to enable average Nigerians embrace sustainable farming in their backyard, from where staple foods could be produced, to complement their earnings”, Senator Adeleke said.
