The Chairman of the electronic section of Alaba International Market Mr. Uchenna Nnadozie has called on traders in the market to sheath their sword and embrace peace for the progress of the market.
He spoke shortly after being granted bail by Ikeja Magistrate court, following his arrest by some aggrieved members of the market.
The arrest of executive officers of the traders association allegedly by some aggrieved members had caused uproar within the market, prompting the closure of the markets.
The arrest Daily Sun learnt was allegedly triggered by the visit of the Vice President elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and the Lagos State governor elect, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to the market recently.
It was gathered that when the factional members learnt of the visit of the Vice president elect, they allegedly started marking move to revive the crisis that had existed within the market associations since 2011.
However after the arrest and the eventual appearance of the market leaders at the Ikeja Magistrate Court 2, they were granted bailed and released to their members.
While the case was to come up in court, members of association and traders dealing in electronics throng the Ikeja Magistrate Court premises carrying placards and demanding for the release of their members.
Nnadozie commended members of the market for their solidarity and support and prays that God will touch the stop the hearts of the aggrieved members to seek the path of peace for the interest of the market.
