Osaze

BY EMMA NJOKU

Call it different strokes for Super Eagles’ duo of Victor Moses and Osaze Odemwingie, and you’d be dead right.

While feelers indicated that Moses may play no further part in Stoke City’s campaign for the rest of the current English Premier League season, the cheering news from the team’s camp is that Osaze could return to action soon after being sidelined by injury since August last year.

Moses, whose season had been marred by injuries, suffered a fresh hamstring during his team’s 1-1 Premier League draw with West Ham last weekend, and Stoke’s Manager, Mark Hughes, has revealed that the on-loan winger from Chelsea was not expected back in action for the rest of the season.

“It may well be that Victor’s season is over, unfortunately, because of the type of injury he has got,” Hughes told the club’s official website.

“He might get back but at the moment we’re probably thinking that he won’t make it. It’s a shame because Victor has done really well since he’s been with us.”

The attacking pearl whose season-long loan with Stoke expires at the end of the current term received plaudits from the club’s gaffer for his impact since joining the side from Liverpool where he was on loan the previous season.
