Egypt and Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has been named the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the year.
Salah scored 28 goals and provided 18 assists to help the English club win Premier League title, breaking record for the most goal involvements in a single 38-game Premier League campaign.
This is the third time the Egyptian forward will win the award, tying with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry for the most.

The 32 years old received more than 90% of the votes from the Football Writers’ Association’s 900 members with team-mate Virgil van Dijk coming second, followed by Alexander Isak in third and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice fourth.
Salah also scored three goals and provided four assists as Liverpool reached the last 16 of the Champions League.
