The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has apprehended at least 78 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud in Nasarawa, Abia, and Kano states.
The commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, disclosed the arrests in a statement on Friday in Abuja, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
Oyewale stated that EFCC operatives arrested 43 suspects in Toto, Nasarawa State, on Friday after receiving credible intelligence connecting them to online fraud activities.

He added that during a similar operation on Thursday, the commission apprehended 30 suspects in the Ariam and Ubakala communities of Abia State.
Oyewale stated that EFCC officers from the Kano Zonal Directorate arrested five suspects during a sting operation at Farm Centre, Kano, on Tuesday.
The EFCC spokesperson said, “all the suspects would be charged in court upon the completion of investigations.”
