Bishop Abioye Starts Own Church Seven Months After Leaving Winners Chapel

Monday, 28 April 2025

Renowned Bishop and former deputy Head of Living Faith Church, aka Winners Chapel, David Abioye has started his own church.

INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that Bishop Abioye who recently retired from Winners, under the leadership of Bishop David Oyedepo, announced the commencement of Sunday morning service at his church.

The cleric, alongside Thomas Aremu, retired from Living Faith in October 2024 after a review of the church’s administrative policy set the mandatory retirement age for leaders at 55.

Abioye had noted that his ministry was birthed out of a divine mandate and not personal ambition.

Following his retirement, he commenced a non-denominational ministry which held every Sunday evening, urging members to pursue personal revival as the foundation for corporate renewal.
