Wife of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Ekaette Akpabio has dismissed sexual harassment allegations leveled against her husband by his colleague, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Recall that INFORMATION NIGERIA had reported that the lawmaker from Kogi Central, during an interview on Arise TV, on Friday morning, alleged that Akpabio blocked her motions from being heard on the floor of the Senate because she rejected his sexual advances.
She added that by rejecting the Senate President’s advances, she was subjected to persistent harassment and malignment.
Reacting to the development on Friday, while addressing newsmen at her Abuja residence, Mrs. Akpabio dismissed Natasha’s allegations as a figment of wild imagination.
She also recounted the cordial relationship that existed between her family and Natasha’s family.

Mrs. Akpabio said: “The allegations are unfounded, as she was present at her family residence on the alleged date 8th December, 2023.
“Both families enjoy a long-standing cordial relationship that predates Senator Natasha’s marriage to her husband.
“Security men are always with the Senate president (SP). So, for that night. I knew I served people. People were at home. The house is never empty when he’s around. Constituents will be there. Akwa Ibom people will be there, and they never leave him.
“And there is no way a man that is as disciplined as that can think of taking a woman to his home. He has a lot of respect for me and his children and regards.
“In Akwa Ibom, when he was a governor, a lot of women were involved in governance, and none of them, not one, ever say something like this.”
