Nigerian singer Portable has offered a public apology to veteran Fuji musician Saheed Osupa after previously mocking him over the removal of his song from streaming platforms due to alleged copyright issues.
Portable used a line from Osupa’s song, which caused the Fuji artist and his distribution team to file complaints, leading to the song being pulled from streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
The Zazuu crooner reacted with anger after his song was removed, criticising Osupa for not supporting his career and calling him a “big for nothing fellow.”

He said, “Saheed Osupa, you are big for nothing. If you can’t embrace me, I will drag you. You sing Fuji while I sing hip hop. The same way I used a line from your music is the same way I removed three verses from Pasuma. But Pasuma never report my song. Keep your distance if you can’t embrace me like the way Pasuma abducted me like his own child. Osupa is a good man.”
However, in an Instagram video on Thursday, he admitted he had acted out of temper and expressed regret for his reaction.
“My fans, I am a hot-tempered person, I have said my mind and it has ended. King Saheed Osupa, please forgive me; money was what almost got in between us because I wanted to collect the money and I heard the song has been removed. That was why I fumed. Please forgive me. Help me beg him, my fans,” he pleaded.
