Veteran Nollywood actor Adebayo Salami has been honored with an honorary doctorate degree in Theatre and Media Arts from a UK-based institution.
The recognition was announced by his colleague, Muyiwa Ademola, who is also known as Authenticity, through a post on Instagram Saturday.
Muyiwa shared a video capturing the event, which showed Adebayo Salami’s joyful reaction as he received the honorary degree.

Jide Kosoko, another industry veteran, was present and congratulated Salami warmly during the ceremony.
In the caption, Muyiwa wrote: “Congratulations sir, DR ADEBAYO SALAMI. @ Otunba Adebayo Aremu Salami (PhD) decorated by President Olusegun Obasanjo’s wife as he bags honorary Doctorate degree in Theatre and Media Arts from Achivlevers Network Academy, UK”.
