Finnish authorities have frozen the assets of Simon Ekpa, pro-Biafra agitator, due to alleged terrorism.
Ekpa was arrested on November 21 and sent to prison for “spreading terrorist propaganda on social media.”
He is accused of instigating violence and inciting terror in Nigeria’s South-East region through his social media pages.
Ekpa’s trial is however expected to commence in May 2025.

Nigeria’s Federal Government has been demanding Ekpa’s extradition for prosecution.
Ekpa, a dual citizen of Finland and Nigeria, was previously arrested in February 2023 but was released after questioning.
