Operatives of the Osun State Amotekun have arrested a 27 years old man, identified as Adekunle Obideyi, for allegedly stealing some farm products.
The suspect, who is said to be an indigene of Erinmo-Ijesa, area of the State, was apprehended on the 26th of November, 2024.
This was disclosed during a press briefing by the Osun State Amotekun’s Commander, Isaac Omoyele, on Monday, in Oshogbo.
Mr. Omoyele said that the suspect revealed that he would often steal cocoa and bananas from farms and sell them to interested buyers.

He added that Adekunle was apprehended after committing the theft and attempting to hide in an uncompleted building, where he was eventually caught.
He said: “Amotekun operatives swiftly acted on the information, tracking down and capturing Obideyi in his hideout in Erinmo-Ijesa.
“During preliminary questioning, the suspect confessed to the crime and admitted that this was not his first involvement in such illegal activities.”
