Ahead of Super Eagles’ clash with Benin Republic, on Thursday, Atalanta’s forward, Ademola Lookman, has expressed confidence in his playing ability.
The Nigeria International noted that his performances in the past two years with the Italian club have helped him reach new heights in his career.
Speaking with BBC Sports on Wednesday, Lookman noted that he has developed more confidence in his abilities.
He said: “I have the confidence in my ability to create, to score goals, to help my teammates, to assist them.
“In the past two years, I believe I have been able to take my game to a new level and show that on a more consistent basis.”

INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that the 27-year-old, who finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings, has joined other Super Eagles players in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Nigeria will be playing the Cheetahs on Thursday, to play one of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches.
The Austin Eguavoen’s side who is currently leading the group D with ten points, needs just a point to book their ticket in the next AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
