Nigerian singer Davido has reacted to threats concerning his upcoming shows following his remarks in a recent interview on The Big Homies House podcast.
It should be noted that in the interview the singer warned Black Americans against relocating to Nigeria, describing the country’s economy as “in shambles” and highlighting issues such as poor leadership, a weakened naira, and the irony of high fuel prices in an oil-producing nation.
Taking to his X page on Tuesday, the singer alleged that some stakeholders had threatened to cancel his upcoming shows in Nigeria due to his remarks in the interview.
Davido addressed these threats with an unapologetic stance, suggesting that he is unbothered by the backlash and even implying that he could forego performing in Nigeria altogether.
