Bashir Ahmad, former media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, has hinted at a possible reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
Ahmad shared the news on his X page on Tuesday, stating, “The price of PMS is likely to be slashed.”
This development comes as the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) confirmed ongoing negotiations with Dangote Refinery regarding the pricing strategy.

IPMAN assured Nigerians that the new fuel pump price would be announced on Wednesday.
According to IPMAN, Monday’s meeting with Dangote Refinery resolved all outstanding issues except pricing.
“Nigerians will really feel the impact within the coming days,” IPMAN promised.
The potential price slash is expected to bring relief to Nigerians, who have faced high fuel costs in recent times. The announcement has generated optimism among citizens, eagerly awaiting the official confirmation of the new prices.
