Uzodimma Promises Land, Cash Gifts To Imo-Born Super Falcons

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has promised four Super Falcons players of a land and cash gift after their return from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The beneficiaries are Chiamaka Nnadozie, Desire Oparanozie, Osinachi Ohale, and Tochukwu Oluehi.

INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that the four players participated in the ongoing competition before Nigeria was kicked out in the Round of 16 stage.

The governor encouraged the players of Imo extraction when he received them at the Government House in Owerri, encouraging them to continue to make Nigeria and Africa proud on the global stage.

In appreciation of their exploits, the governor promised to give them a piece of land in one of the choice locations in the state capital and a cash gift of $10,000 each.

Recall that the first lady, Oluremi Tinubu had also hosted the Nigeria Women football team in Aso Rock, Abuja, alongside with members of Nigeria Football Federation,NFF.

Meanwhile, England defeated Group B’s leader, Australia, 3-1 to set up a final showdown with Spanish Women on the 20th of August, 2023.

Alone goal by Chelsea’ player, Sam Kerr was not enough as the co-host humbly bowed out from the competition.
