News coming out from the Buckingham Palace, reveal that Queen Elizabeth is being monitored by doctors at Balmoral after they expressed worry over her failing health.
All of the Queen’s children are either already at her Scottish estate near Aberdeen or are en route there.
“Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” a statement said. The Queen is comfortable, the statement added.
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have traveled there.
The Scottish estate is about 40 miles (64 km) west of Aberdeen. The Duke of York, the Count and Countess of Wessex are traveling there.
The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, was already in Scotland attending engagements.
Additionally, the Duke of Cambridge is en route.
The Queen, 96, pulled out of a Privy Council meeting on Wednesday because her physicians had advised her to rest.
The Queen’s health is clearly a top priority; this is stated much more directly than before, and there is no mention of this being limited to mobility issues.
There are also cautions about making assumptions without sufficient evidence, like that she may have fallen.
She was pictured smiling and standing when she named the new prime minister on Tuesday.
The fragility of the Queen’s health, however, is evident from the last-minute cancellation of what would have only been a virtual meeting of senior ministers in the Privy Council.
