Your View host, Morayo Afolabi-Brown has revealed that she begged Yeni Kuti to remain on the show a few years ago when she wanted to leave.
Morayo disclosed this on her Instagram page on Yeni’s 60th birthday, Monday, May 24, 2021.
In her words:
“One of my most profound moments with YK was a few years ago. One of the ladies of YourView independently decided to leave the show after some gaffes. YK came to me and said, “Morayo I’m not happy with what happened and I’m under a lot of pressure to leave the show also”. I told YK, “Please don’t leave. You have a huge following on the show and your leaving will create a serious vacuum. YourView needs you.”

Then she said, “I’ll think about it”. When she came back a few days after, she said, “Morayo, I’m staying against all advice from people close to me because I believe in the show and I truly love the show.” I was grateful that she was willing to go against all and stick with the show. That’s YK for you, she has an independent mind. She tells us all the time that she loves us equally. She may seem close to others because they make themselves available, but make no mistake, she is fair to all. Happy Birthday, big sis.
