Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Seriake Dickson has revealed the reason he has been absent from government functions in Bayelsa.
The absence of the former Governor from governmnt functions has led to rumours of rift between him and his successor, Senator Diri Duoye.

However, the lawmaker has denied any rift, pointing out that his noticeable absence from government functions was deliberate and in consonance with his values and principles of non-interference.
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday.
He said he remained supportive of Mr Diri’s administration, saying that he had no hand in the media attacks against Mr Diri’s administration by some of his former aides.
