However, Sociedad had other plans, as the Basque club took the lead in the 55th minute to ensure a frantic second half.
Madrid pilled on the pressure after conceding and eventually got rewarded with a goal by Vinicius in the last minute of the game.
This result leaves Madrid level on point with Barcelona and 5 points behind league leaders, Atletico Madrid.
