A video circulating on social media shows how popular comedian, Mr Macaroni and other protesters are being treated in a hostile manner by the Nigerian police following their arrest.
The comedian had joined other protesters on Saturday to march against the reopening of the Admiralty Toll Gate.
However, they were reportedly picked by police officers at the #OccupyLekkitollgate protest and locked up in police vans.
In the video making rounds, the comedian and the other protesters were seemingly jam-packed in a van and they were all sweaty. They were also ordered to look at the floor.
The video has generated a wave of reactions and people have spoken out against the dehumanizing treatment being meted out on the protesters.
