Former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, has described the appointment of the new service chiefs as well informed and good choices for the country’s challenging security situation.
The Senator representing Borno central made this known while speaking on Thursday evening in Maiduguri.
He stated that President Muhammadu Buhari apparently took his time to identify competent military commanders who are well-grounded with knowledge of the Boko Haram problem after serving in Borno State at different times.

Shettima also expressed that his call for the replacement of the former service chiefs was nothing personal.
The lawmaker urged all stakeholders to support the new service chiefs so that they can succeed in bringing an “end to the Boko Haram madness.”
