The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced January 25, 2021 as resumption date for online classes.
This was made known in the revised academic calendar for the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic session released by UNILAG on Wednesday.
The new semester is expected to run until April 1, 2021.
This announcement is coming at a time when there has been a serious debate on whether to reopen schools with the incresse in COVID-19 cases.

Last Friday, the National Universities Commission (NUC) directed vice-chancellors of universities to resume academic activities on January 18, 2021.
Students of many public universities have been at home since March 2020 following the industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), which was called off few days to the end of the year.
