Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant on New Media to the President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed that a ‘significant’ number of the abducted students of Government Science School, Kankara, in Katsina State, have been rescued.
Recall that on Saturday, gunmen stormed Government Science School in Kankara and abducted several children.

Ahmad made this known on his social media page on Sunday night. He, however, did not give a specific figure of the freed students.
Giving on rescue efforts by security agencies, Bashir wrote:
“A significant number of the students have been rescued. Praying for the immediate safe return of the rest,” @BashirAhmaad wrote.
