The Lagos State Safety Commission, on Saturday, closed Cubana nightclub in Ikeja and other facilities for violating the COVID-19 protocols.
A couple of videos circulating on social media show the nightclub goers being ordered out of the facility.
Information Nigeria recalls that the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had banned all concerts, carnivals, and nightclubs on Friday till further notice to curb the spread of COVID-19.
It appears the pandemic is not ending anytime soon as Nigeria saw a record number of new coronavirus cases.
During a raid by a team from the Lagos State Safety Commission led by the Lagos state commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, the Ikeja GRA facility of Cubana grills was promptly sealed for going ahead to host its customers despite the ban.
