PDP Reacts To Atiku’s Loss At Supreme Court, Says Final Judgement Comes From God

Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the Supreme Court judgment on the appeal filed by it and its Presidential candidate at the 2019 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar.

Speaking on the apex court decision, which dismissed their appeal, Secondus said it had come but that the final judgement comes from God.

In a statement on Wednesday, the PDP national chairman said, through his Special Adviser on Media, Ike Abonyi, said that Atiku won the election.

The Supreme court has on Wednesday dismissed an appeal filed by the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the last presidential election.

The apex court ruled that Mr Abubakar’s appeal lacked merit, adding that it would give reasons for its judgment on a later date.

The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 23 election.

A seven-man panel of the apex court, led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Tanko Mohammed said the panel came to an agreement that Atiku’s appeal lacked merit.

ASUU Reveals Conditions To Join FG’s IPPIS

Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has made known its condition to joining the Federal government Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information system (IPPIS).

According to the university body, it would join IPPIS, if acts establishing universities were amended by the National Assembly.

It also said all grey areas with regards to sabbatical, external examiners, external assessors and earned academic allowances as well as capturing the appropriate retiring ages of workers in the university must be addressed.

Festus Keyamo, Minister of State for Labour and Employment has congratulated Nigerians after the Supreme court dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in the February 23rd presidential election, Atiku Abubakar against President Muhammadu Buhari.

The 7-man panel which was led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN Mohammed Tanko unanimously dismissed Atiku’s case against President Buhari, saying it lacks merit.
