A former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the attack on former deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu in Nuremberg, Germany. The former minister said that Ekweremadu’s attack by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) should serve as an eye-opener to the leaders of Southwest. He noted via a tweet on Saturday that the people are angry, and that Southwest leaders better defend their people or step aside.
Senate President Ahmed Lawan Reacts To Assault On Ike Ekweremadu
Senate president Ahmed Lawan has condemned the attack on Ike Ekweremadu by IPBO members in Germany on Saturday, August, 17th. Speaking in a series of tweets, he went on to direct the German authority to identify those involved in the act so they can be held accountable.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki says he happy that Ike Ekweremadu, who was attacked by some members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Germany, is fine. The former Senate president made this known on Sunday via his Twitter handle. He said: ‘I spoke with my brother and friend, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu yesterday after hearing about the unfortunate incident in Germany and I thank God that he is fine and very well.
Police Nab Female Cultist, 8 Others During Initiation ‘One Million Boys’
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested eight suspected cultists, including a female during initiation into a cult group, called ‘One Million Boys.’ Via a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Bala Elkana, it was revealed that the suspects were all arrested on Thursday by operatives of Operation Crush from Ilemba Hausa Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Kazeem Abonde.
Man, Wife Beat LASTMA Officer Trying To Wrongfully Arrest Them
A viral video has surfaced the internet where a man and a woman were seen beating a LASTMA officer. In the video, the man and his wife alighted from their Benz to thoroughly beat a LASTMA officer trying to wrongfully arrest them for a traffic offense.

The immediate past governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has criticised the attack on former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu in Germany by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB). Fayose, in a tweet on Sunday, condemned the attackers of Ekweremadu, who symbolises courage and democracy, calling them miscreants who do not deserve a place in civilised society.
Attack on Ekweremadu, Disappointing, Dangerous For Igbo Solidarity – Ohanaeze
The president-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, John Nwodo has described the attack by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Ike Ekweremadu, former deputy senate president as “disappointing, grotesque and dangerous for Igbo solidarity.” Nwodo said the Saturday attack on Ekweremadu during the second annual Igbo Cultural Festival held in Nuremberg, Germany is “damaging to our cause”.
Attackers of Ekweremadu Must Be Punished For Shameful Act: Abike Dabiri
The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has condemned in entirety the attack on Ike Ekweremadu, former Deputy Senate President, in Nuremberg, Germany. The attack was carried out by some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB), a group proscribed as a terrorist group by the federal government in 2017.
