The Kogi Renaissance Forum, KRF, has issued a strong warning to James Faleke, a member representing Ikeja, Lagos State at the House of Representatives, to stop interfering unnecessarily with the current political affairs in Kogi State. This was made known by the coordinator of the group,  Alhaji Ahmed Jibrin while addressing journalists in Abuja.

Update: Two Supreme Court Judges Held That Adeleke Scored Highest Votes In The Election

Two justices of the Supreme Court have upheld that Senator Ademola Adeleke is the winner of the Osun governorship election. According to Justices Adamu Galinje and Kumai Akaahs, Senator Adeleke scored the majority votes in the September 22 governorship election and fulfilled the constitutional requirement to be declared a winner.

Shiites Storm National Assembly; Demand Release Of Their Leader, El-Zakzaky

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, yesterday, stormed the premises of the National Assembly to protest the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, who has been in DSS custody since December 2015. Supreme Court Dismisses Adeleke’s Appeal, Upholds Oyetola’s Victory

An appeal by Senator Ademola Adeleke challenging the declaration of Gboyega Oyetola as the winner of the Osun State governorship election has been dismissed. The Supreme Court, in the lead judgement delivered by Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour, ruled that the absence of the judge who read the majority decision of the election tribunal, Justice Peter Obiorah, on one of the hearings renders the entire proceedings a nullity.

Supreme Court To Deliver Judgement On Osun Election Today

The Osun police command says it has deployed more of its personnel to avert any breakdown of law and order ahead of the supreme court judgment on the 2018 governorship election in the state. This was made known by Folashade Odoro, the command’s spokesperson, adding that the police are fully prepared for the outcome.

Embattled Senator, Elisha Abbo, has surrendered himself to the police for investigation. This was made known by the command’s commissioner, Bala Ciroma, adding that the lawmaker acted based on an invitation letter sent to him. Recall that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, ordered Abbo’s arrest for beating up a nursing mother in a sex toy shop in Abuja.

Three Die As Bus Plunges Into River In Ogun

Three passengers on Thursday died, when a commercial bus conveying them plunged into Ososa river along Ijebu-Ode-Sagamu expressway. The spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Commission, Ogun Command, Florence Okpe, confirmed this in a statement, adding that 11 passengers were left injured.
