A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has taken a quick swipe at Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi over his potbelly.
Omokri who was congratulating Adamu Mohammed for his confirmation as Inspector General of Polic(IGP) by the Nigeria Police Council chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday.
Omokri while congratulating the IG in the confirmation of his appointment said he must have worked so hard and “lost so much weight” for him to have been conferred this great honour.
Recall that President Buhari had come under much fire some weeks back, when he had just returned from his “private trip” from the UK — after he said that the IGP was losing weight, meaning he was working very hard — While fielding questions from a journalist on whether the country had adopted a new approach to the fight against insecurity especially kidnapping and banditry which is a major issue now.
Omokri in a tweet on Thursday wrote: Congratulations to acting IG of @PoliceNG on your confirmation by President @MBuhari. Obviously, you must have lost enough weight to have been bestowed this worthy honour. Do tell Rotimi @ChibuikeAmaechi your secret, so he can get rid of his potbelly!
