Imo state governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha has said that his administration is going to hit the ground running from the very first day, as it can’t wait to right the wrongs of past governments.
Ihedioha, who defeated both the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and outgoing governor, Rochas Okorocha’s preferred candidate and Son in-law, Uche Nwosu, against all odds to clinch the number one position in the state, said the state has been “badly governed” for the past years.
The incoming governor who spoke via his Twitter handle on Wednesday said, they “can’t wait to put it back on the path of growth and prosperity,” – while also asking for support and prayers for the task ahead.
He wrote:
We are hitting the ground running from day one!
Our state has been badly governed and we can’t wait to put it back on the path of growth and prosperity.
I will continue to ask for your supports, encouragements and prayers.
Good morning!
