Senator Shehu Sani has said that neither the previous government nor the present are interested in any form of electoral reforms in the country because they tend to benefit from its failings.
The federal lawmaker said this on Thursday, via his Twitter handle. Mr Sani further noted that the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan is the only one to appoint an electoral chairman that he never knew or met.
Senator Sani further stated that the ex president went on, to approve the use of a technology that invariably ended his reign.
His words: The Previous Governments including the one in power doesn’t want any serious electoral reforms because they tend to benefit from its failings. Its only GEJ that can appoint an INEC chair he never met and never knew and approved of technology for use that can terminate his reign.
