A video has shown the moment a suspected thief was caught after he fell right inside a soakaway.
The incident reportedly happened in Ijoko, Ogun State. The thief who was suspected to have stolen a phone fell inside the soakaway while escaping with the device.
In the video, it is seen that moments before he was pulled out, a crowd gathered around the pit to mock his condition.
When he got pulled out and was on dry ground, they continued to scold him for the alleged theft. The suspected thief however offered no response while the rant went on.
It is believed that he has been handed over to the police.
