Brighton beat Everton by a lone goal to nil to move to 13th on the league table during their domestic league meeting at the Falmer stadium today. Brighton who held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw during the midweek ensured the maximum three points stayed home as they resorted to defensive approach after the 59th minute strike.
The Toffes who were buoyed by their 5-1 decimation of Burnley during the midweek started the match on the front note as they caused plenty of problems for the host during the early exchange but found no joy as Brighton defensive line up held on.
Nigerian International, Leon Balogun, who joined the newly promoted side during the summer transfer window from German Bundesliga side, Mainz, then took to his twitter handle at the end of the match to laud their impressive fans for their supports.
What he said;
Great way to finish the year at home with the 3! And what a massive result this is! Thanks for your amazing support so far and for making my first 6 months @OfficialBHAFC so special.
I’ll see you in 2019 – be good.Leon
